With the government of Austria’s permission and in keeping with the German theme of Frankenmuth itself, Bronner’s built a replica of the Oberndorf, Austria, Silent Night Memorial Chapel in 1992 as a tribute to the Christmas hymn “Silent Night.” This addition to Bronner’s 27 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds was modeled after the original chapel in Oberndorf/Salzburg, Austria, which marks the site of St. Nicholas Church where “Silent Night” was first sung on Christmas Eve of 1818. Christmas Lane After Dark
Approximately 100,000 lights illuminate Bronner’s half-mile-long Christmas Lane every evening from dusk to midnight.
